The arctic is one of the few areas where humanity could not yet set feet. Arctic Transition is located on Novaya Semlya, an island in the north of Russia above the polar circle. The building should create a transition from the cityscape (HydroCity) to sea and the landscape. The idea is to create a continuous space which establishes the connection between the various conditions. The space should emphasize the feeling of this transistion and create an attractive surrounding for people living in this hostile environment.
