Sci-Arc was an amazing time for me. Southern California was a blast and a meltinpot of inspiration. SCI-Arc inspired me with its diversity in architecture and visual representation while the arts district in its area was covered by art of any kind. I collected the best shots on a tumblr page, I hope you feel inspired too. You can access the images here: klmnsstzmnn.tumblr.com
I left Los Angeles with a lot of ideas, I hope I can put them into pixels soon.
I am very happy that I got chosen as exchange student for the upcoming fall semester at the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Some of the most influencial architects teach there and I am very glad that I can be a part of this prestigious university. If you wanna find out more about their work and their approach towards architecture check out their video: SCI-Arc 40th Anniversary Film
This semester I did not make a studio project and therefore I was able to do some work for architecture offices nearby to my studies. I was lucky and got asked to be in the designteam for a competition from my Professor Hani Rashid and his office Asymptote Architecture. The competition was challenging since we also have not gotten that much time to finish our content, but in the end everbody was very happy with what we achieved.
Soon after this competition I got the possibility to work with the team of one of my favourite architecture offices in vienna, the theNextEnterprise on a competition for a Headquarter in Vienna. It was one month of work and we tried a new approach on what and how an office can be organized. It was a very good atmosphere in the office and we did a great project in the end.
For both of these competition I also did the visualization and will release the images on my page when the results get published, fingers crossed!
This year, the IG Computergrafik decided to create an award dedicated to the people working in the Austrian CG Scene. The award ceremony took place at the PIXEL 7. I handed in some stills and animations and found myself nominated under the best three in the category “best visualization” with the Project International Center for the Arctic. I did not win but still was very happy that my work got noted by the jury!
If you want to participate on this award too check www.acga.at
The already famous Pixel is an annual Conference about Computergraphics and Animation in Vienna. It will happen from 5th till the 7th of October in the Austrian Academy of Sciences (the festsaal is gorgeous). The speakers at the conference are from companies widely considered big players and from companies that constantly rise the bar in certain areas or simply amazingly interesting individuals. If you are interested in Computergraphics and Animation, this is definetly the place to be!

The hardware for my new workstation has arrived. The new computer is based on a powerful Intel i7 3770K CPU and 16GB of RAM. Additionally it contains an nVidia GTX 660 Ti for GPU rendering. Besides POTEMKIN and SPUTNIK (Laptop) it will be the machine for the heavier jobs.
After quite some work and sweat my renderportfolio is finally online. Comments and feedback are welcome!
